From Model to Influencer: Edamey Hugentobler

Some models go on to build a career that is entirely their own. A photographic model becomes a personality with a growing audience – and eventually a sought-after influencer. Edamey Hugentobler is a wonderful example of this journey.

When I first met Edamey Hugentobler, she was just 17 years old and still came to my studio with her mother. Even our first photographs impressed me greatly. Edamey Hugentobler was one of the first muses in my photographic work – one of those models who not only stood out in front of the camera, but also had a genuine creative influence on me.

Her greatest strength is her exceptional ability to express emotion. With her face alone, she could convey very different moods with clarity and immediacy. Her photographs always carried a strong emotional impact: you instantly understood the feeling they conveyed. It is precisely this vitality that gives photographs depth and brings them to life.

Every shoot with Edamey Hugentobler developed its own dynamic. Starting from an original concept, her expressive presence and our collaboration repeatedly led to new ideas. Often, a theme would evolve step by step during the shoot, resulting in unexpected images. For me, this kind of creative development is an essential part of successful photography.
